Learn how to create and save new lessons in My Classwork — generate a PDF with Sayo Chat or upload an existing PDF — then reuse them across classrooms. Use for questions about creating lessons or what used to be called learning materials.
Lessons are resources students read or download — PDFs, slides, handouts, worksheets, and similar files.
Creating them in My Classwork lets you reuse the same lesson across classrooms without uploading again.
(What used to be called a “learning material” is now simply a Lesson.)
After you save from Sayo Chat, you’ll usually land back on your library with the new lesson highlighted so you can find it quickly.
Only PDF files are supported on the direct upload path. For other file types, keep them in Drive, or generate a PDF in Sayo Chat first.
You can also add a lesson from a classroom’s Lessons tab:
New lessons you create there are also saved to My Classwork so you can reuse them later.

Tip: Keeping titles and descriptions clear makes it much easier to find and reuse lessons later — especially once your library grows.
