My Materials Overview (Teachers)

What is My Materials?

My Materials is your personal library for all learning content and assignments.
From this page, you can:

• Create new Learning Materials or Assignments
• View and organize all saved teaching resources
• Reuse or add them to your classrooms later

It combines both your Materials and Assignments in a single, easy-to-manage space.

How to Access My Materials

1. Log in to the Teacher Portal.
2. On the Sidebar, click the My Materials menu.
3. You’ll be taken to the My Materials page, where your content library is shown.

The My Materials Page Layout

When you first open the page:

• If you haven’t created anything yet, you’ll only see the Create Material card (a plus icon with “Create Material” text).
• Once you’ve made items, you’ll see them displayed as cards — each representing a Material or Assignment.

You can also:

• Switch Views: Toggle between Card View and List View for easier browsing.
• Filter Content: Use the dropdown at the top-right to filter your items:
  • All – shows both Materials and Assignments
  • Learning – shows only learning materials
  • Assignment – shows only assignments

Creating New Materials or Assignments

To create something new:

1. Click the Create Material card at the top of the page.
2. A creation form will slide in from the right side of the screen.
3. At the top of this form, you’ll see a Material Type switch:
   • Learning – for standard teaching materials
   • Assignment – for creating homework or graded tasks

The rest of the form will change based on which type you select.

Managing Your Materials Library

Each Material or Assignment appears as a card on your library page.
From each card, you can:

• Edit – update the content or details
• Delete – remove the item from your library
• Preview – view the file or details before sharing
• Add to Classroom – attach it to a specific class later

ℹ️ Any material or assignment created here can be reused across multiple classrooms without needing to upload again.
