What is the Interactive Agents Tab?
The Interactive Agents tab lets you pin AI assistants to a classroom. Students open them from the Interactive Agents tab in the student portal.
From this tab, you can:
- Create a new agent or add one from your library
- View usage summaries for each agent
- Edit or remove agents from the classroom
Accessing the Tab
- Open Classroom from the sidebar.
- Click a classroom card to enter the room.
- Select Interactive Agents from the top navigation bar.
Page Overview
Inside the tab, you'll see:
- A summary of how many agents are active
- An Add Interactive Agent button
- A grid of agent cards
- A three-dot (⋯) menu on each card
Click a card to open its usage report.
Adding an Interactive Agent
Click Add Interactive Agent to choose:
Create New Agent
Opens the agent builder at /interactive-agents/new/form?roomId=… where you set:
- Name, visibility (Private / Public / Institution), and Description
- Optional educational metadata (curriculum, subject, level, language)
- Detailed instructions — the system prompt and behavior rules
- Optional file attachments for context
When you save, the agent is added to this classroom and your library.
Add from Library
Opens the library picker at /interactive-agents?selectMode=true&roomId=… where you can browse:
- Public agents shared with all educators
- Institute agents from your organization
- Private agents you created
Select one or more agents, then confirm to pin them to the classroom.
Viewing Agent Reports
Click an agent card to open its Usage Summary. Depending on the agent type, you may see:
- Interaction counts and active students
- Quiz performance summaries (for quiz-style agents)
- Common topics or prompts students used
Managing Agents in a Classroom
Each card has a ⋯ menu:
Edit Assistant
- Click Edit Assistant.
- A warning dialog explains that edits apply everywhere the agent is used.
- Confirm to open the agent form and update prompts, name, or settings.
Remove from Room
Detaches the agent from this classroom only. It stays in your library for reuse.
Tips
- Mix tutor, quiz, and feedback agents to support different lesson stages.
- Review usage reports to spot topics students struggle with.
- Update instructions when you move to a new unit.
